Course Change Request Form

Students should use the Course Add / Drop Form to drop or add a course(s) before the session begins. The form must be submitted with all required information complete. Course change requests will be reviewed as they are received and are generally processed within 10 business days. Students with active Net IDs can check their SIS accounts to confirm that the requested changes have been made, but will otherwise not be contacted unless the requested changes cannot be processed / granted.

Note: This electronic form is not available the week before each session and during the first week of class as follows:

  • May 23 - June 3
  • June 27 - July 8

In place of the electronic form, students must complete a hard copy form available during registration and at the Yale Summer Session Office.

Students must pay any existing account balance or additional charges that occur as a result of a registration adjustment.

Note:The first request for a course change is free of charge, a second or subsequent request incurs a $60.00 charge.

Housing Add / Drop Request Form

If you would like to add or drop on-campus housing and meals, please fill out the Housing and Meals Add / Drop Form.

If you are participating in a Yale Summer Session program that begins in New Haven and then moves abroad, please e-mail Study Abroad to either accept or decline New Haven housing

Cancelation of Summer Registration

This form is for students who have been admitted to Yale Summer Session and submitted a Confirmation of Attendance form. Submitting this form confirms that you will not attend Yale Summer Session.  Click here to cancel your summer registration.

Credit/D/Fail Convert to Letter Grade Form (for Yale College students only)

This form is for Yale College students who chose to take a Yale Summer Session course for Credit/D/Fail in the YSS application, and would like to convert back to a letter grade.  Please note that the deadlines for converting back to a letter grade are:

  • Session A deadline: June 16, 2017
  • Session B deadline: July 21, 2017
