Registration & Calendar
Registration
All students must attend registration in person. The dates of registration for each session are given in the Academic and Residential Calendar (see below). A student enrolled in more than one session who has paid all summer tuition and fees may register only once, at the earliest session attended. Students who owe tuition and/or fees for the second session are required to register again at the start of the second session. No student may register or check into campus housing unless tuition and fees have been paid in advance, including any outstanding balances from previous terms.
Any student who has not paid all charges in full for the session in progress by the end of the second week will be disenrolled from all courses and required to leave the program.
Students must notify Yale Summer Session in writing if they cannot attend the scheduled registration, and a late registration fee will apply. Attendance at a class does not constitute registration or enrollment.

(1) Except for study abroad (March 1 ) and Summer Conservatory for Actors (May 1).
(2) Except for study abroad. A charge for the $200 non-refundable program fee deposit will be charged to a student’s account upon acceptance to the program. Students must withdraw their application before March 1 not to be charged this fee. Payment of the remaining portion of the program fee is due two weeks before the start of the program. Payment of full tuition and other fees is due two weeks prior to the start of the program. Students may withdraw from a study abroad program until May 1. After May 1 the remainder of the program fee is non-refundable. If a student drops within 7 days of the start of the program 25% of the International Housing Fee will remain on your student account. If you are attending a non-language program and you are able to stay with family while abroad, you must inform YSS by April 1. If you inform us after April 1 you will be charged 25% of the International Housing Fee. Once you opt out of International Housing, you will not be able to get it back.
