Apply - 2012
YSS Faculty Led Programs Abroad Application Procedures
Application available: Friday Dec. 14, 2012. Application deadline: Friday March 1, 2013.
These instructions are for students applying to study outside of the United States.
If you plan to take a course abroad in one session and a course in New Haven in another session, please complete the study abroad application FIRST and then e-mail summersession.abroad@yale.edu for further instructions. If you wish to make any changes to your application after you submit it, e-mail summersession.abroad@yale.edu with your request.
Once you follow the link above to start the application process, you will be re-directed to the application program page on the Center for International and Professional Experience website.
Click on the “Start Applying” button. You will be asked for your NetID and password.
Once you log into the Center for International and Professional Experience website, a student profile will be created automatically (Yale students). Non-Yale students will be prompted to enter basic information to complete the profile.
On the right hand side of your profile page you’ll see “Items to Complete or Submit to the Program Office”, “Items Requiring Your Agreement” and “Items/Forms to Complete Online.” You must complete all items for your application to be considered complete. Click on (Yale Summer Session) Application Form to complete the online application.
You must complete the (Yale Summer Session) Application Form, read and indicate your agreement of the "Program Deposit Acknowledgement" and pay the $55 Application Fee for your application to be considered complete. Your application will not be processed until all three items are marked as complete.
Log into your Center for International and Professional Experience profile (“My CIPE”) frequently to check for updates.
You’ll know your application is complete when the boxes are checked off as “completed”.
Applications will be reviewed after the March 1st deadline. Students will be notified by e-mail of a status change in their "My CIPE" profile after March 1. Decisions will not be given over the telephone.
Non-Yale students must also submit a current official transcript which must be mailed to our office. Mailing information is found here.
The application deadline for all study abroad programs is Friday, March 1, 2013.
Acceptance to Yale Summer Session does not imply admission to any other school or program of Yale University. Enrollment in Yale Summer Session does not satisfy a term of residency in Yale College regardless of the number of credits earned.
