Yale Study Abroad

Yale Summer Session offers students the intellectual challenge they expect from Yale in classrooms that spill out onto the streets of the world. First-hand experience of foreign cultures is a basic component of a Yale education: it not only complements the student's academic study of international topics, but is also fundamental to the student's own personal development as a global citizen. 

Earn Yale College credit studying with Yale faculty. Yale Summer Session Programs Abroad are for Yale credit. Language courses and subject areas courses offered with program dates ranging from 5- 8 weeks.

Summer study at the world's top universities. The Global Summer Program offers summer courses taught in English at the 10 International Alliance of Research Universities (IARU). Open to Yale students and IARU member institutions.

To apply. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older and have completed one year of college. Some Summer Session programs abroad are open to students from other universities, but some programs are only open to current Yale College students.
