2022 Course Dates: Thursday, July 14, 2022 - Saturday, July 23, 2022.
This 10-day intensive, multi-disciplinary workshop allows students to study and practice essential tools of directing with a faculty of accomplished professionals. It is open to anyone interested in working on their technique as a director. Previous training in directing is not required. This course is open to high school graduates and beyond.

Each class meets multiple times over the course of the 10 days, focusing on practical tools which aid the director in developing a production. The program culminates in a lab where students present projects in rehearsal.
Note: Students must be available from 9:00 am to 10:00 pm Monday through Friday as well as Saturday afternoons and evenings and Sunday morning and afternoon. This intense program requires a full commitment of the student's time, and attendance at each class is mandatory. The faculty reserves the right to add, extend, or adjust scheduled hours to accommodate the progress of the class.
Past faculty members have included Evan Yionoulis, Jane Ann Crum, Frank Torok, Wilson Chin, Debra Booth, Joby Earle, Stephanie Hayes, and Mark Brokaw. Faculty are graduates of the Yale School of Drama.
Applicants who speak English as a second language may be asked to submit evidence of their ability to read, write, and rehearse in English.

Directing students may stay on campus for an additional fee. Student housing provides students with single dorm rooms and shared dormatory showers/restrooms.
