The following materials are required for Yale Summer Session applicants who are beyond college:
Tip: Students who have been out of college more than ten years may submit a resume or Curriculum Vitae in place of a transcript.
Please refer to the Dates & Costs section of our site for all of the relevant deadlines. All supporting documentation must be received on or before the application deadline.
Students select their program of study or courses at the time of application on the online application. Yale Summer Session offers the non-credit Yale Writers' Conference (Session I and/or II), as well as for-credit courses in STEM, pre-med, the arts, humanities and social sciences. Once students have been admitted to a for credit-course course, they will receive a grade unless they either drop the course or withdraw by filling out a form online, or in person in the Yale Summer Session office.
Students taking part in any Yale Summer Session program may choose to live in one of the summer residential colleges. Yale students serve as residential counselors and provide support and assistance.
