<p>In-person Course.&#160;Introduction to the study of life at the molecular level and to cell biology and membrane physiology. Topics include the three-dimensional structures and function of large biological molecules, the human genome, the design of antiviral drugs to treat HIV/AIDS, organization and functional properties of biological membranes, membrane physiology and signaling, rough endoplasmic reticulum and synthesis of membrane/secretory membrane proteins, endocytosis, the cytoskeleton, and cell division. Covers the material of BIOL 101 and 102, the first half of the yearlong introductory biology sequence. Followed in the summer by BIOL S106. Enrollment limited to 20 students.&#160;1 Credit. Session A: May 27 – June 28. Tuition: $5070.</p>
