This interdisciplinary course explores literature, art, design, and intellectual life in Britain from the Romantic era to the late twentieth century by visiting houses, museums, and gardens associated with John Keats, Frederic Leighton, Leonard and Virginia Woolf, Vanessa Bell and Duncan Grant, Sigmund Freud, Charles Rennie Mackintosh, and Ian Hamilton Finlay.
