Student Bio
Sebastian is a sophomore at Yale University, who spent his summer with the YSS in 2023.
“I took a course in discrete mathematics and another on rye over the summer. The latter was definitely one of the most interesting courses I've taken here at Yale. Over the course of a few weeks, I got to learn all about this grain that I never knew existed, and I got to explore how fascinating it really is, from how it helped germinate the agricultural revolution to its speculated role in the Salem witch trials!”

“Before the summer, I hadn't actually hiked East Rock before, and it was awesome to enjoy the view from on top of East Rock. I especially enjoyed exploring the neighborhoods on the way there! The historic architecture of the houses along Orange St. are cool to look at and getting a cone at Elena's makes the walk to East Rock even more worth it.”
