<p>In-person Course. An introduction to music-theory analysis of commercial and popular song (with a focus on American and British music of the past 50 years, across multiple genres). Coursework involves study of harmony, voice leading and text setting, rhythm and meter, and form, with assigned reading, listening, musical transcription and arranging, and written/oral presentation of analysis. Prerequisite: MUSI 218 or another 200-level theory course. Enrollment limited to 20 students.&#160;<em>For college students and beyond.</em>1 Credit. Session B: July 1 – August 2. Tuition: $5070.</p>
