Moving In and Out of Your Campus Room
Here, you’ll find all the essential information to ensure a smooth check-in and check-out process. From the dates and times for check-in and check-out to what you need to bring and what to do when you leave, we’ve provided clear instructions to help you navigate both stages easily. Be sure to review these details ahead of time to ensure a seamless experience at both the start and end of your time at Yale.
Housing Check-In
Students living on-campus must attend housing check-in.
You will check-in for housing on the lawn behind Ezra Stiles and Morse Colleges, across the street from Payne Whitney Gymnasium, which is at 70 Tower Pkwy.

Housing Check-Out
The Summer Colleges close promptly at the times in the table below. Some programs may have check-out information communicated directly from program leaders. In that case, please follow those instructions. Students staying on campus for both sessions do not need to check out between sessions.

Yale Student ID
Your Yale Student ID card allows you to access Yale's libraries, residential colleges, dining halls, and much more. You will pick up your Yale Student ID card at housing check-in. If you do not already have a Yale Student ID Card, it is important to provide a photo by the deadline on your pre-arrival checklist page.
Cancellation of Program Registration
If your plans change and you decide not to attend Yale Summer Session after accepting your offer of admission, please follow the instructions on the Changes and Withdrawals page.
