All the information you need to understand the process for making changes
To make adjustments to your Summer Session enrollment, such as changing courses or withdrawing from the program, please submit a Change Form. This page provides all the necessary information about the process and deadlines. We recommend reviewing the details carefully to ensure a smooth transition. The 2025 Change Form will be open mid-February 2025.
How can I request to change my course(s)?
If you need to change your course(s), please use the Change Form to add or drop a course(s) before the session begins.
[date] The course change deadline is May 16 for Session A, and June 20 for Session B. You may drop courses until the deadline posted on the Dates & Deadlines page, after which you will receive a W on your transcript.
Please read the form carefully and submit it with all the required information. Course change requests will be reviewed as they are received and are generally processed within 5 business days. You will receive an email with the status of your course change request once it has been processed.
Students wishing to convert to the Credit/D/Fail basis may do so by submitting a request through the Credit/D/Fail Conversion Request Form. Please see the student handbook for more information about the Credit/D/Fail basis.
You must pay any existing account balance or additional charges that occur as a result of a registration adjustment.

I am not coming. How do I cancel my Registration and Withdraw from Yale Summer Session?
Please let us know if your plans have changed! You can use the Change Form to cancel your summer registration. Submitting this form confirms that you will not attend Yale Summer Session.
How can I Add or Drop Housing?
Housing cannot be added after your program application deadline. To request a housing add or drop, please fill out a Change Form.
I'm living off campus. How can I purchase a meal plan?
If you are an off-campus student taking courses on-campus and would like to purchase a meal plan, please fill out the Commuter Student Meal Plan Request form. The deadline to request meals is at 5pm on Friday, May 16 (Session A) and 5pm on Friday, June 20 (Session B).
