In 2025 we are excited to offer four-day on-campus and online workshops. The session offers the same concentration on craft and technical improvement as session I. On-campus and zoom sessions are lively, and connections are forged over the course of the workshop. Online participants will stream guest writer appearances from New Haven and have unique online activities. Over four days, in groups of no more than twelve, you will work with experienced instructors in daily workshops. For a little artistic fun, we will have an ekphrasis writing adventure at Yale’s world-class museums.

We will continue our magazine submission drives for attendees with polished short prose. Three literary magazine editors will attend the week to discuss the genres they publish. Please take time to read the magazines in advance. Each year our writers are published in the guest editor’s magazines.

Each intensive workshop will include exercises and readings as well as discussion of student work. You will attend a craft lectures, readings, an open mic, a publishing panel, and participate in student reading and group conference with your instructor. It’s an action-packed four days.
